Parasympathetic Performance was created from my own search for lasting change-beyond quick fixes, fads, or temporary relief. I truly believe there is an untapped well of potential in us all that we can only tap into when we can live and move free from compensation patterns
By asking different questions, understanding the needs and priorities of the body, and conducting thorough assessments, clients can experience immense changes.
Our clients come from all walks of life and have a variety of health and wellness goals. Read what others have to say about our methodology and approach to health and performance, and the things they have experienced working with us!
At Parasympathetic Performance, we believe true performance begins in the nervous system.
Ever notice how the best athletes are the calmest? Or that they are also having the most fun on the court or field? Maybe it even looks like play? Do these traits make them great? Or does being great allow them to possess these traits?
Last question:
Do you think if you possessed these qualities in whatever thing you would like to perform great in, you too would be great?
Training isn’t about grinding against resistance—it’s about restoring the natural flow and ease we should have experienced at times as kids. Like playing tag on a summers night, as the sun sets, barefoot on the dewy grass...
When a person is driven from a parasympathetic state, they tap into calm efficiency rather than stress-driven tension.
Much of human limitation comes from getting stuck—whether it’s a joint, a breath pattern, or a behavior. The spine, for example, is designed to coil like a spring, creating movement through rotation. This rotation is even observable in linear actions like sprinting at the highest level. When this natural rhythm is lost, we don’t just lose efficiency on the field, court or in the gym; we lose adaptability in everyday life. Through rewiring the nervous system's sequencing and challenging these changes through movement, the body can once again swing, rotate, anchor, and transfer force with ease.
Our work integrates breath, neuromuscular activation, and movement principles that retrain how the body organizes itself. Diaphragm, psoas, and glute activation set the stage, to allow for changes to movement patterns and in-turn allowing the mind and body to integrate into an efficient system. Instead of isolating qualities, we weave them together, creating athletes and humans who can adapt in real time. Biproducts of this training method can look like weight loss, increased range of motion, improved speed, strength, coordination, and decision making, or simply looking, feeling, and performing better.
Performance is not only measured in speed or strength—it shows up in how fluidly you move through sport, how resilient you feel in life, and even how you respond to challenges. We know that if something feels better, brings us more freedom and joy, we will be more likely to continue doing it than something we force ourselves to do.
By training in the parasympathetic state, we teach the body to hold rather than resist, to flow rather than fight, to unlock rather than force. This carries over not just to competition, but to health, recovery, and how we live day to day.
